ABNU is More Than Just a Body

The Association of Bursars of Nigerian Universities (ABNU) was formed to provide professional leadership for the financial managers and heads of support services of Nigerian Universities and Inter-University Centres.

ABNU focuses on enhancing effectiveness, efficiency and probity, thereby ensuring proper accountability of the funds of Universities and Inter-University Centres.

ABNU represents persons responsible for Finance and Accounting in Nigerian Universities and Inter-University Centres. The Association promotes networking opportunities and mentoring support for Bursars, thereby fostering links and exchanges with similar organisations abroad.

The Association of Bursars of Nigerian Universities (ABNU) is an umbrella body of Bursars of all the universities and inter-university centres in Nigeria. The affairs of the association are managed by an Executive Committee (EXCO) elected by members for a two-year tenure. The composition of the current EXCO is as follows:
