Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) in collaboration with Association of Bursars of Nigerian Universities (ABNU) Training Academy Ltd [ATAL] is organising a 5-Day Training on the Revised Chart of Accounts and the preparation of International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) compliant Annual Financial Statements for Federal Universities, State Universities, Federal Polytechnics and Federal Colleges of Education.
IMPORTANT FEATURES
The important features of the IPSAS Training are:
i. Work-through the revised chart of Accounts recommended by the OAGF.
ii. Apply the GIFMIS to create Ledgers for Students and other stakeholders.
iii. Understand and Implement IPSAS.
iv. Produce IPSAS compliant annual financial statements
v. Develop strategies for implementing IPSAS
vi. Appreciate IPSAS linkage to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Accounting Standards (IAS)
vii. Learn Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
